Hanging storage is great for paintings that are already framed. All you need to do is hang the paintings on the hooks or pegs. This type of storage is also great for paintings that are not yet framed. You can simply fold the canvas in half and hang it from the top of the frame.

Flat storage is best for paintings that are not yet framed. You can either lay the paintings flat on a shelf or stack them on top of each other. This type of storage is also great for large paintings or paintings that are very delicate.

Once you've decided what type of storage you need, you need to decide where to store your paintings. If you have a lot of space, you can keep your paintings in a separate room. But if you're short on space, you can store them in a closet or under the bed.

No matter where you store your paintings, it's important to make sure they are protected from UV light and moisture. You can buy special storage containers that are designed for this purpose. Or you can simply wrap your paintings in acid-free paper or cloth.

By following these tips, you can be sure that your paintings will be safe and sound for years to come.

Storage: How-to Articles

If you have a lot of art canvas, or even a few very large ones, you'll need to find a place to store them where they won't get damaged. Here are some tips on how to do that:

  • Canvas should be stored upright, never flat. This prevents warping and sagging.
  • If you're stacking canvas, put something like cardboard in between each piece to prevent them from sticking together or getting damaged.
  • Avoid extremes of temperature and humidity when storing canvas. This can cause the material to degrade over time.
  • Keep canvas away from direct sunlight, as this can also damage the material.
