Art with Ms. K once again uses R5451 Paint Scrapers to her advantage! Her class made the cutest Bugs on a Rug weaving mats you’ve ever seen! Check out her post here for more details.

Besides our R5451 Paint Scrapers, Ms. K gave her students insect-shaped stamps, crayons, markers, paint and colored construction paper to create their unique weaving mat arrangements.
First, children spread the paint across the canvas. They then used the R5451 Paint Scrapers to blend the colors and create interesting patterns and lines in the artwork.
Once the art dried, the students cut lengthwise across the canvas to make weaving strips. They chose the color of their construction paper weaving mat and folded it in half vertically. Using scissors, the students cut about 4-5 lines into the folded sheet. They unfolded the sheet then wove the strips in and out of the weaving mat slots.
Here’s a quick peek at some of her students’ artworks!
I love the decorative fringe this student decided to give to their weaving mat!
