Chris from 2Flowers created sensory letters using the R21800 Plox® set! Her daughter learned about the letter ‘T’ through several fun activities that they put together, including the Plox® filled uppercase and lowercase letter craft.
Combine sensory materials such as those you can find in our R75419 Sensory Collage Kit to your language art activities! Sensory materials present children with a wide variety of textures to feel. Using these textures like Chris did will encourage fine motor development and help students to connect their learning experiences to fun and engaging activities.
Chris posted the craft activity on September 19, 2011 and can be found here: “The Sound T“. Click on the title or the images to go directly to the post!
Chris created a whole unit of activities that can be adapted to suit any letter of the alphabet. Among such activities were yoga-posing and singing songs or reading stories about the letter T!
Draw the letter T in both uppercase and lowercase onto a sheet of card. Use glue to adhere the Plox® onto the inside of the outline!
Her daughter looks so excited! This activity can be done in a variety of colors as the Plox® comes in black, red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple and white!
Thanks Chris for this creative post!
