Check out this talent! 2 Soul Sisters posted a series of photographs of their students’ art projects at their Blogspot site 2soulsisters.blogspot.ca. They used the R52007 Animal Face Forms™ to make these spectacular animal faces!
The post was made on April 21, 2010 and can be found here: “Mask Making“. Click on the title of the post to go to the link!
Here are some images of their students’ work:
I love the gold paint one of the students used. It works so well with this cougar’s regal appearance. Kim said the following in her description:
“Our 4th graders do a mask making unit each year. Here are some of the mask for this past class. They create wild animal masks (and such) by making their own zoo with Roylco’s Animal Face Forms! Each see-through plastic face form is reusable and great for papier maché or clay. I am going on year 5 with this same set and all is well with them. They are holding up very good!”
The post goes on to note that you can use plaster or plaster gauze to fill in the face forms. We recommend that you use a sealant after painting the face forms.
I love the appearance of this animal face. This student decided to make the horse look as realistic as possible and it turned out beautifully!
This one is more whimsical, but just as effective. You can see the bit of silver paint that the student used on their animal mask! It must glimmer so nicely under a bit of light.
