Hang up the Rolly Scrolly banner across your classroom wall for Parent-Teacher night or mount it up in the gymnasium to represent your class at a special school event! The whole class can get in on the decorating!
• Paint, markers or crayons
• Collage paper bits
Write the name and grade of the classroom in the center of the banner so that it is large and clearly seen. Use markers or thick, bold-colored crayon to write the classroom banner title. Next, think of a theme that you wish to represent through your banner. Each student in your class can be represented by an image that is unique to them. We’ve chosen to represent the entire class with little fish drawings. Tip: Draw only the outlines for the images.
Each child can color in their image with crayons or markers. They may make patterns or use a combination of fun colors to fill in their drawings. Write every student’s name beneath the drawing they colored in.
Hang up the banner across your classroom wall or above your classroom door. Welcome visitors to your classroom with the banner in plain sight!
